Suncraft Electric is a solar maintenance provider in the Kingston, Ontario region. It is still in its developmental stages but has been successfully run for 3 years. We are currently hiring for the role of Solar Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

The solar technician will be responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance issues on 2, 10 MW solar sites located in Napanee, Ontario.
The job will require some evening work but will mostly be consisting of responding to calls related to the sites during daylight hours.
Troubleshooting inverters and locating ground faults is a main component to the job. The ideal candidate will have experience with this as it is going to be a very independent position.

Skills Required:

Troubleshooting AC and DC power systems.
Ability to grasp different systems and circuits.
Ability to read and understand drawings and single line diagrams.
Knowledge of electrical safety in generating systems.
Ability to work on your own and be self motivated.
Ability to operate a vehicle legally on and off the road.
Problem solving skills are essential.
