Customer Service Clerk – Napanee – Posting # 2022-60 

Department: Prince Edward-Lennox & Addington Social Services 

Location: Napanee Site Office 

Supervisor: PELASS Supervisor/ Manager 

Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday 

Salary Range: $24.08 to $26.75 per hour (as per the Collective Agreement) 

Duration: up to December 31, 2022 with the possibility of extension 

Closing Date: May 27, 2021 

Prince Edward-Lennox and Addington Social Services, a dynamic and progressive organization dedicated to strengthening communities through the delivery of Ontario Works, Children’s Servicers and Housing Services, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced professional for the position of Customer Service Clerk.


Primary responsibilities would be to provide reception, switchboard, and clerical support within a highly functional team environment, while operating within the legislative and regulatory standards as set out in the applicable provincial and municipal acts, and within the County of Lennox & Addington local policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations. 

The primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to all inquiries, receive and forward information.
  • Provide administrative support for all municipal social service program areas.
  • Establish and maintain data/file management.
  • Receive, process, record repayments and reimbursements and issue receipts and post transactions within applicable databases.
  • Prepare intake/CVP/ waitlist packages as well as schedule & confirm appointments.
  • Any other duties or special assignments as requested by the Management Team.


  • Post-Secondary Education (College Certificate or Diploma in a related field).
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational & communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • One year related experience in a social services field preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer software i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle.
  • Experience and knowledge of software applications utilized in the administration of municipal social services.
