Civil Engineering Technician - Novatech

What You’ll Do

• Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering design drawings using CAD/Civil 3D
• Assist with roadway,  grading, and servicing design
• Help prepare construction  cost estimates
• Develop knowledge of current industry practices and standards
• Perform field inspections and field surveys as needed

Skills & Experience You’ll Need

• Knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD/Civil 3D; Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technical writing and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
• A valid driver’s Province of Ontario license and access to a vehicle is recommended
• Field and or survey  work experience is an asset

Education and Accreditation Required

• Civil Engineering Technology Diploma
• Design courses in storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, drainage, roadways, and grading is an asset
