The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for students entering the final year of their undergraduate program who are interested in learning from industry-leading professionals and exploring what it means to be a part of Canada’s only Major League Baseball team.
Students will join a cohort of summer associates, including participants across a variety of departments. With a focus on developing the next generation of Blue Jays leaders, the Associate Program will give students access to cohort-specific learning, social, and mentorship opportunities, including a cross-departmental mentor within the organization who will support them throughout the program, and the opportunity to present to the Toronto Blue Jays Leadership Team.
Over the summer, candidates will gain valuable real-world experience in the sports industry, and discover what it means to be a part of the Toronto Blue Jays team here at Rogers Centre.
ABOUT THE BRAND & DIGITAL MARKETING TEAM
The Brand and Digital Marketing team at the Toronto Blue Jays is a dynamic and innovative group within the Business Operations department. We are the stewards of the Blue Jays brand, entrusted with the exciting task of translating the team's essence and values into engaging and meaningful experiences for fans. Fueled by a shared passion for storytelling, disciplined marketing strategies, and data-driven insights, we are committed to connecting the team's legacy with fans across all platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- During the four months, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, which may include the following:
- Brand Stewardship: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand alignment in all communications and initiatives.
- Campaign Development and Execution: Collaborate with internal partners & agencies to deliver high-impact campaigns that resonate with fans.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of digital campaigns and content.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Experiment with new content formats and engagement tactics to improve performance with targeted fan segments
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in post secondary education with an expected graduation in 2025
- Preferred major in business administration, marketing, and communications
- Strong critical thinker with good communication skills
- Team player with a willingness and curiosity to learn
- Able to multitask and prioritize
- Able to interpret and analyze data to support decision-making
- Passionate about solving challenging business problems
- Baseball knowledge and passion for the game a plus
