THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the Mess General Labourer rearranges furniture and equipment according to established floor plans, as required. They pick up supplies/liquor orders from retailers, as required. They advise supervisors of any damages or need for repair and performs minor maintenance on furniture such as repair chair legs, as required. They operate snow blower and lawn mower, as required, and clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. They complete monthly fire inspection under direction of Mess Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered
A valid Ontario Driver’s License
Experience
In minor maintenance and repairs
In operating commercial equipment
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential
