Canoe Kayak Paddling Instructors - Sydenham Lake Canoe Club

Position Objectives: 

1. Teach paddling skills and techniques in a fun, creative, & systematic manner 
2. Supervise the participants at all times while in water and on land 
3. Work as a team to plan, organize and execute stimulating, creative and age appropriate outdoor activities in an inclusive safe environment 
4. Must be patient and enjoy working with children 
5. Be punctual, responsible and reliable

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

1. Able to teach recreational canoe and kayak paddling skills to children
2. Standard First Aid with CPR
3. RLS swimming and lifesaving skills.
4. Willing to obtain Pleasure Craft Operators Certification

Term: July 2nd-Aug 16th M- F 8:30-4:00 35 hours/wk

Sydenham Lake Canoe Club is located 20 min by car north of Kingston; transportation required.
