The Mechanical Designer/Drafter prepares detailed working diagrams of Heat Transfer products, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.

  • Creating 3D and 2D models and production drawings of sheet metal parts, tubing components and assemblies
  • Checking work for conformity and error
  • Creating bills of materials
  • Implement design changes and document revisions
  • Working closely with the production dept. to analyze and remedy any manufacturing issues that arise.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably requested

Requirements

  • A strong interest and understanding of basic Engineering principles.
  • Be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Show an interest in being a part of the HVAC design industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight time restrictions and meet deadlines.
  • Be adaptable and willing to accept change in priorities.
  • Willingness to learn & take instruction from experienced designers on how to use our propriety coil design software.
