Ongwanada is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, detail orientated self-starter for the position of Registered Dietitian. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal nutritional care to individuals with developmental disabilities including those with complex needs through nutritional assessments, development and implementation of care plans. Education of individuals, staff and care givers will also be provided to ensure continuity of supports and best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Baccalaureate degree in dietetics and a dietetic internship as recognized by the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Membership in Dietitians of Canada preferred.
  • Minimum two years clinical nutrition experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with dysphagia.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills (eg. ADP applications for enteral feeding equipment).
  • Sound knowledge of relevant software including MS Office applications.
  • Excellent attendance/performance record.
  • Direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.
