What you will do:
- Producing precision tooling used in our cold heading manufacturing process.
- Set up and operation of both conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting machines and equipment, including saws, drills, grinders, lathes, and mills.
- Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
- Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
- Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
Tools / Technologies:
High School Diploma required
Diploma in a technical or manufacturing program or equivalent experience preferred
Ontario College of Trades certification as a General Machinist, Tool and Die Maker or another similar certification preferred.
Candidates currently working as apprentice General Machinist, Tool and Die Maker or another similar certification would be considered.
Candidates with an applicable technical college diploma with an interest in pursuing an apprenticeship towards a General Machinist, or Tool and Die certification would be considered.
