Food Less Travelled is looking for a few enthusiastic food lovers to help us serve our ever-growing customer base. We have very discerning loyal customers who look forward to superior personalized service. We need friendly and outgoing self-starters who enjoy meeting new people and maintaining great customer relationships. We need people with the skill sets to ensure Food Less Travelled fulfills its commitment to being a go-to destination for all things local food.

Our services are part of the heartbeat of our community which includes all of Frontenac County and surrounding areas. This position is the perfect fit for those with experience in the sales and marketing industry and/or hospitality and tourism. It should also be attractive to those looking for a reliable sales position that pays steadily by the hour, is close to home and does not require late evening work or travel.

Front of House Sales - Job Duties:

• Perform retail cashier and café hostess responsibilities
• Develop and maintain positive client/customer relationships
• Acquire and develop product knowledge (retail & house made products)
• Support and monitor marketing programs: signage, website & social media activity
• Take orders in an organized, effective and detailed manner
• Promote existing products
• Re-stock shelves
• Assist in retail receiving
• Assist in kitchen receiving: packaging, labelling, merchandising & organizing orders
• Document customer issues with investigation
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Routine cleaning and regular maintenance including inside (retail & kitchen) and outside (patio & parking lot)

Part time and full time positions available. Compensation depends on education, experience and availability. Increases in compensation are based on performance and job commitment. Employment hours vary depending on seasonal business fluctuations. Spring, summer and fall months are busier than winter months. Weekends, in particular, long weekends require a full commitment.
