Umicore is preparing to build a battery materials production plant in Loyalist Township, Ontario, Canada (located 25km from Kingston, ON) - the first of its kind in North America. The $1.5 billion, cutting-edge facility will be a critical part of Canada’s electric vehicle (EV) supply chain. Being an Intern at Umicore

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join our team for a challenging and rewarding internship experience in a fast-paced start-up environment. Join Umicore and embark on a journey to explore the diverse world of business. This internship will provide you with invaluable skills and insights to jumpstart your career in the communications.

What you will be doing

Join us starting in May of 2024  and be a valuable contributor to our team. As a Communications Intern at Umicore, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and support our internal and external communication functions that are instrumental in the development of our new greenfield facility.

Who we are looking for

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, Business Writing, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Requires personal transportation to reach the site since public transit is not available at this time.
