What will you do?

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are responsible for the provision of direct support typically to adults who have an intellectual disability, challenging behaviours and/or dual diagnosis.

Duties include:

  • provision of assistance with all skills of daily living, including personal care, skill development, household management; 
  • support to individuals to enable them to participate fully in the life of the community.
  • The DSP will demonstrate a person-centred philosophy and a commitment to agency mission.

What do you require?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma (e.g., DSW, Behavioural Science, SSW, CYC, CJS, or a degree) and/or significant work experience in social services
  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities is desirable
  • Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
  • A valid, Province of Ontario class “G” driver’s license is required.
  • Proof of Covid vaccine status
