Access Healthcare Services Inc. is currently looking for full time and part time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to service our home and community care clients in the Winchester, Embrun, Casselman and Russell region. Morning, afternoon and evening shifts available.

What we are offering:

  • $500 sign-on bonus
  • Additional $0.50/hour evening and weekend premium
  • Salary: $25.50-$26.75 per hour

What you will do:

  • Assist clients with bathing (partial, complete, tub, or shower)
  • Assist clients with oral hygiene, hair care, dressing, and all activities of daily living
  • Assist clients with ambulation, transferring, and positioning in bed or chair
  • Assist with physio exercises, ROM, etc. as per therapist’s care plan
  • Assist clients with feeding and light meal preparation
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as per service plan
  • Make/change clients bedding as required
  • Assist clients with toileting or incontinence care
  • Assist and/or remind client to take medication (Do not administer medication)
  • Report any changes in health condition, or safety risks to immediate supervisor
  • Perform delegated tasks, specific to each client; delegated by nurse or immediate supervisor

What you need:

  • PSW or DSW Certificate or a successful first year nursing completion
  • Proof of Covid Vaccination
  • Vehicle required with Valid Driver’s License
  • Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
  • Must be available to work every second weekend
  • Must be available for 20 hours per week minimum

  • Able to stand, bend, squat, kneel and reach freely; able to freely lift up to 35 pounds;
  • Ability to travel up to 45 minutes if needed


We welcome students and recent graduates to join us and enjoy the incentives funded by the Health Force Ontario:

  • up to $5,440 to PSW students as a stipend during their clinical placement with our organization.
  • $10,000 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to AHSI.
  • an additional $10,000 to support relocation costs for those recent PSW graduates committing to work with a home and community care employer in a rural, remote, or northern area for 12 months. (This includes certain Pembroke Postal Codes)
