Event Planning and Management

  • Event Support for the Fundraising Coordinator: fundraising events and campaigns (e.g., Walk for Alzheimer’s, Coffee Break / Social with A Purpose) in collaboration with volunteer committees.
  • Maintain records and statistics for each fundraising event and campaign.
  • Explore opportunities, recruit hosts and assist as appropriate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of third-party fundraising events and projects.
  • Support in recruiting, training and managing volunteers.
  • Plan and coordinate the development of materials related to fundraising and volunteering campaigns. (e.g. promotional materials, brochures, signage, invitations, programs, media releases, newsletter articles, website pages, social media)
  • Community Relations, Maintain and expand the Chapter’s social media presence, represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization's community profile.

  • Comfortable with technology and some familiarity with computer/fundraising platforms, including, or similar to, Microsoft Office, Razors Edge database, Luminate database, Canada Helps.
  • Comfortable using various Social Media/Website platforms.
