Since 1969 the Anchor group of companies has been recognized as specialists in its fields. Anchor Concrete Products, Lodestar Structures, continue to produce precision products for the construction industry across Canada. Our team is focused on optimizing our operations, supplying high quality products, and creating customized solutions to meet the needs of our customers while exceeding their expectations.

This is a project for three months. The ideal candidate will have proficient skills in graphic design and web development.

Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild Anchor Concrete's website
  • Create mock-ups of the site and test pages to demonstrate the function of the website
  • Test sites to ensure that they function correctly
  • Make backup files of the website
  • Optimize Anchor and Lodestar Website
  • Create and Edit photos/videos for website contents.

Requirements:

  • Students and recent graduates who are enrolled in or have completed a college or university-level program in design, graphic design, web design, CGI video animation, or a related field
  • Experience with content management systems (specifically WordPress)
  • Familiar with design principles, development processes, integration of various components, and ensuring compatibility across different web browsers and platforms
  • General Knowledge of video production, graphic design, social media, and collaboration tools
  • Advanced understanding of video and photography tools and techniques
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Familiar with content management systems, such as WordPress
  • Understands web design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices and screen sizes
  • Graphic design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Proficient in web languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an asset.
