Position: Project Manager, Division 8

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Kingston (Office-based)

Role Overview:

To oversee the execution of projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding projects to completion, ensuring products are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the project timeline and resources needed.
  • Coordinate with the procurement department’s internal resources and third parties/vendors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Report on project progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Coordinate with the different departments within Select Door about projects to ensure accuracy and proficiency as a team.
  • Visits project sites and communicates with general contractors about timelines and identifies any red flags.
  • Communicates with vendors and consolidates material purchases.
  • Excellent time management skills that include the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks effectively with a proven track record of success in a busy, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in division 8.
  • 2 years experience minimum as a Project Manager.
  • Expert MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management.
  • Proficiency in Emullion, & Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central.
