The Front Desk Agent provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times and acts as first and main contact for guests and other departments.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES
- Anticipating and addressing guest needs, resolving their problems and escalating complaints where necessary by contacting the appropriate department including immediate management
- Completing check-in/checkout processes, maintaining an inventory of room vacancies, reservations, room assignments and enter rooming list or other data in Maestro correctly
- Be aware of room locations, types of rooms, availability and room rate all the time
- Utilizing proper customer relations techniques to make sure calls are handled both courteously, professionally and on a timely basis
- Ensuring that messages, deliveries, and faxes are handled correctly and efficiently
- Ensuring all necessary reports and forms are completed daily
- Verifying that proper identification and credit cards are used ensuring all postings of cash transactions, account settlements are handled correctly
- Taking appropriate incidentals and room fees via authorization correctly ensuring proper information is taken with systems (Maestro, Clover)
- Checking status of departures throughout the shifts and relaying all pertinent information
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent required
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Completion of a College program in front desk operations or hotel management an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an added advantage
