Contract length: January 6, 2025-April 25, 2025

*Location: Ingleside, Ontario (*note: Ingleside is located about an hour south east of Ottawa. No public transportation is available to the Ingleside site)

About the opportunity:

As part of the maintenance team, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team in executing custom projects and technical operations analysis or activities in a global manufacturing facility. You will work alongside our technicians' gaining hands-on experience. You will report to maintenance supervisor/ maintenance manager of the site.

The attributes we are looking for:

  • Identifying gaps, to improve operation of equipment
  • Predictive maintenance (vibration analysis, etc.)
  • Automation (PLCs/SCADA)
  • AutoCAD and reading technical drawing
  • Creating PM plans, updating BOM's in SAP
  • Work with maintenance team to troubleshoot problems and performing preventive maintenance
  • Assisting on GM projects
  • Updating engineering drawings and labels
  • Participate in the installation of new equipment

What you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing post-secondary education in a technical or engineering related discipline such as Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Robotics, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Previous work experience will be an asset but not necessary. In-house training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, v lookups
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, TPM, or other improvement methodologies and principles is an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to multitask
