Culinary Job Opportunity – Brockville Yacht Club

Are you a passionate culinary student or recent grad looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, real-world kitchen setting?

My name is Michael Fincher, a 2003 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and I currently serve as the Coordinator and Chef at the Brockville Yacht Club in Brockville, Ontario. Originally brought on to manage club operations, I soon expanded my role to oversee all food services — bringing lunches, Friday Night Special Dinners, and full-scale event catering in-house with a focus on quality, creativity, and consistency.

We're now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic culinary student or graduate to join me in helping transform the Yacht Club into the premier dining and catering destination in the area.

What You'll Do:

  • Work side-by-side with a CIA-trained chef
  • Assist in lunch service, event prep, and dinner features
  • Help plan and execute catering for weddings, memorials, and club events
  • Bring your ideas — your input will be welcomed and valued
  • What You’ll Gain:
  • Real-time mentorship in a fully operational kitchen
  • Broad exposure to both casual and formal service styles
  • Event and menu planning experience
  • A chance to leave your mark on a historic and evolving institution

If you're ready to build your skills, contribute creatively, and be part of something exciting, we want to hear from you.
